Advanced Regenerative Medicine from Japan, for You

Regenerative medicine is a highly advanced form of treatment. It also requires a high level of technical expertise and involves significant costs. In Japan, where inbound medical tourism is rapidly increasing, more and more clinics are offering regenerative medicine.

Unlike surgical or dermatological procedures, regenerative medicine is not a treatment where the effects are immediately visible. Therefore, choosing the right clinic is not about lower prices or luxurious appearances—it is about trusting that the clinic can properly cultivate high-quality cells and safely administer them to you.

At Kaunis Clinic, we do not offer treatments that lack scientific evidence or proven effectiveness. Our primary focus is on Stem Cell Cultivation Therapy and NK Cell Cultivation Therapy.

Biotherapy Institute of Japan

When choosing a clinic for regenerative medicine, selecting a clinic is important—but equally important for patients is choosing the right CPC (Cell Processing Center). KAUNIS Clinic’s cell culture partner is BioTherapy Co., Ltd.

In regenerative medicine, the quality of cells is crucial. Even if the number of cultured cells is high, poor-quality cells will not provide the best therapeutic results. This has nothing to do with whether a clinic specializes in regenerative medicine, the number of cases treated, the treatment price, or the luxury of the clinic’s interior.

Our reasons for choosing BioTherapy Co., Ltd.:

  1. High-quality cultured cells
  2. Strong commitment to safety
  3. Reliability and trustworthiness
  4. Academic credibility
  5. Proven track record (number of treatments provided, absence of issues, response speed, service quality)
  6. Alignment with the philosophy of KAUNIS Clinic

FAQ

Frequently
Asked Questions

Here, we have summarized some of the most common questions we receive
regarding our regenerative medicine services.
If you have any inquiries beyond what is introduced here, please feel free to contact
our clinic directly.

How are my own stem cells collected for treatment?

Stem cells are obtained from a small amount of fat collected through abdominal liposuction. A tiny incision (just a few millimeters) is made, and fat tissue is gently aspirated using a thin cannula. The amount collected per session is approximately 10–20 grams. The procedure is minimally invasive, performed under local anesthesia, and does not cause pain during the operation. No hospitalization is required.

Are there any risks of side effects or developing cancer from stem cell therapy?

Since the treatment uses your own stem cells, the risk of side effects is considered to be extremely low. Unlike iPS cells or ES cells, adipose-derived stem cells have an extremely low risk of tumor formation, and no such cases have been reported to date. At KAUNIS Clinic, we strictly adhere to the safety management protocols required by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan.

Can I receive stem cell therapy for chronic pain at any clinic in Japan?

No. In Japan, regenerative medicine can only be provided by clinics that comply with the Act on Ensuring the Safety of Regenerative Medicine. Each clinic must submit a detailed treatment plan and undergo review by a Certified Special Committee for Regenerative Medicine approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Only after the plan is officially accepted can the clinic provide such treatments.
